Spanish Plays

Taking a foreign language was so much fun. I have been taking Spanish for 3 years. Each year you do a project sort of thing, for Spanish language week. First years make a poster, second years sell bomb-bombs, and third years perform the Spanish plays. Since I am third year I preformed the Spanish plays. They were a blast. We got the whole day off; out of school and everything. We could sit in Lillywhites and do absolutely nothing all day, except perform our Spanish plays. We could sit in his room and listen to our iPod’s or sleep. I was in Rumplestilskin, the king, which I didn’t even know existed till we read the plays. I wanted a different part but I got stuck with the king that says 4 lines. I talked to the person that got the part that I wanted; he said that he didn’t even want this part. I had so much fun we got to leave early for lunch, we got to go to no classes, and it was awesome. My play was about this crazy, insane, and weird freak: Rumplestilskin. He has a special talent he can spin straw to gold. That would be cool to be able to do. Well, anyways, he has a high price. He wants the Miller’s Daughter’s bracelet and necklace, he wants a third thing but she doesn’t have anything to give her. She later has a daughter and he wants the baby. She doesn’t want him to take it so she makes him a deal, saying that if she can guess his name in three days then he will leave her alone. She can’t come up with his name, she later asks the messenger to spy on him and find out his name. He does and tells her it is Rumplestilskin. And they live happily ever after, except Rumple boy. If you haven’t taken a foreign language yet, then you need to. It isn’t as fun as going to the country and experiencing it for yourself but it is a blast.

Alphabet Story

This is a story, or at least a want to be one, that uses every letter in the alphabet.

A fat, ugly, girl walked down the cracked sidewalk, she looked like she was in pain.
Betsy asked “What’s wrong.”
“Certainly nothing,” replied the huge girl, “I am just trying to be alone,” she said with so much anger.
Dancing down the cracked sidewalk, Betsy’s brother came, minding his own business.
Edwin was this dancing kid’s name. He passed both of them by without taking any notice to their existence.
Fortunately, Betsy didn’t even notice her brother as he danced pass on the cracked sidewalk.
Gracefully and peacefully Betsy and the ugly girl walked down the cracked sidewalk as they talked about why the ugly girl was sad.
“Ha-ha, look at that fat ugly girly,” chanted Isaac.
Isaac, a total jerk, has been teasing the fat girl since second grade.
“Jerk,” the fat girl yelled out after him. “See that is the reason I am so sad.”
“Kind, honest, and loving people are hard to find these days,” said betsy.
“Laugh all you want,” said the girl
“McKenzie, stop it, I wasn’t laughing I was supporting you.”
“Now you tell me,” said McKenzie.
“Oh, my, gosh, you are so hard to talk with, you take the simplest thing as criticism.”
“Please, you’re the one that is hard to talk to.”
“Quit it fly.” McKenzie screamed.
“Rat spitting mongoose, I am out of here, you’re on your own to deal with Isaac he can kill you for all I care.”
See you later, NOT!
Toward her house Betsy traveled. “That girl is so sensible,” she said to herself.
“Very selfish she is; I am never going to talk to her again, lunatic.” McKenzie said to herself;
“Weird how quickly people can hate someone.”
X-rays show that everybody body is the same.
Yet, people make fun of others just because they don’t like them.

100 years

This is for a week I missed. Have you ever thought on how hard it must have been to live 100 years ago? It would be so hard. If you had to cook a snack or something just for dinner you would have to get a fire going in the stove and then you would be able to cook something. My families microwave broke a couple of weeks ago and it was so weird and time consuming to just warm up a piece of chicken or if you wanted to warm up some spaghetti you would have to put the spaghetti in a pan then carefully heat it up and while you are doing that you have to heat up the sauce again on the stove and wait for it to be done. Now days we get the noodles then put the sauce on it and stick it in the microwave for a minute and vwala, it is ready. Back then you didn’t have a dryer or washer so you had to wash each thing by hand and now we wine if we have to put some soap in the washer and turn the knob, it is so hard. Writing this reminded me of a journal we had to write for English class. We watch this video were this guy talks about if anybody has to wait because there cell phone isn’t working, and instead of just waiting till we have reception people now day just freak out because there cell phone isn’t working. Watch this video if you already haven’t. http://copywriterunderground.com/2009/02/11/we-live-in-an-amazing-amazing-world-and-its-wasted-on-the-crappiest-generation-of-spoiled-idiots/
Well back to the topic, I can’t even imagine living 100 years ago where, yes; you did have to go all the way outside to a wooden building to go to the bathroom. Can you imagine, those of you that have gone on scout camp, to go your life going to the bathroom in a smelly, stinky, poop filled outhouse. YUCK!!!!! Can you imagine not have a shower just down the hall from your bedroom. Instead you have to go to the river and bathe. There was no running water and no hot water unless you wanted to go chop some fire wood and put it in the stove, get a fire burning and boil the water. That would take, from people now days point of view, a lifetime. I was watching Smallville, you might have seen it, well anyways Clark Kent loses his powers and he is amazed on how hard it is to just get through the day. We are kind of like Clark because we take everything for granted and don’t realize how hard it was to live a long time ago.

Edmonton mall

Has anybody been to the West Edmonton Mall, probably not because it is in Canada? Well, it is probably, not probably, but definitely the coolest mall I have ever set foot in. It has two stories; sounds normal, well not exactly. It stretches out for about a mile and has like two or three of each store. The mall has a map and on the map is a index in alphabetical order, so when you look at it there is a whole list with about 5 stores for the really popular ones listed right after another. There was like 6 McDonalds and 5 Arby’s. The mall has like four food courts so you are always close if you are hungry. I have been to the mall twice now; my cousins live in Edmonton so every time we go there we go to the mall. The first time I went we actually did stuff. The second time I just played glow-in-the-dark mini golf.
When my family and I were searching for the mall it wasn’t that hard to miss. They have 3 or 4 exits of the free way to get to it. We went in the amusement park entrance. The ceiling is about 300 feet high because it can’t be too low or the people riding the rollercoaster the size of colossus, with the double loop-de-loop, heads would smash against the ceiling. We walked through the park admiring all the rides. There were about as many as Lagoon, but all compacted into the biggest room ever, and this is all still INSIDE the mall.
There was laser tag, mini golf, bungi-jumping trampolines, oh, can’t forget my favorite part, the inside water park. I didn’t get to go and do anything because it did only cost 50$ per person for the day. The water park had a glass roof and about 30 water slides. There where water slides that funneled around and around until you fell out the bottom, there were tube water slides, there were water slides that went straight down for 100 feet, there were curly ones and a huge pool just like surf n’ swim with the waves and all. There was a brochure for the water park classifying the water slides by scary to non-scary. The water park made Lagoon-a –beach look like a backyard pool. The mall had its own pirated ship and a sea lion show. There was a submarine you could take a ride in. There were water crafts that you played water bumper cars. The mall had like 5 hotels and the pictures of them were awesome. There was an ice skate rink. And all of this is still INSIDE the mall. Now this is a mall worth going to. There is a ton of stuff to do besides shopping. If any of you ever go anywhere near Edmonton definitely go to the mall. These are some of the pictures of the mall.
